ANG Chong-Lye, SingaporeClinical Professor Dr Ang obtained his MBBS from University of Singapore. He later specialized in Ophthalmology. He was conferred Ophthalmology Fellowship at the Royal College of Surgeons (Glasgow), Fellowship ad hominem from Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) and Fellowship at the Royal college of Ophthalmologists, UK. Dr Ang was Head of Vitreo-retinal service at the Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC) from 1991 to 2000 and was appointed Director of SNEC from 2000 to 2008. In 2008, Prof Ang was appointed CEO of Singapore General Hospital. He concurrently holds the appointment of Deputy Group CEO (Clinical Services & Informatics) in Singapore Health Services Pte Ltd. Dr Ang currently still practices at SNEC. His special interest is surgical vitreoretina. Prof Ang was Chairman of the Specialist Training Committee for Ophthalmology (Ministry of Health) from 2001-2011. Currently, he is the Chairman of the Residency Advisory Committee for Ophthalmology. |
